A healthy diet that is rich in nutrients that promote sleep, is beneficial to sleep duration as well as sleep quality.  Not only does a nutrient rich diet help us sleep, but lack of sleep can negatively impact the foods we choose to eat. In fact, when we don’t sleep well we tend to make poor food choices, larger portion sizes and exercise less. So, sleep impacts diet, food impacts sleep.
